A Raíz da Verdade foi a terceira peça de teatro que eu escrevi em sequência a partir de 2004, depois de Intervalo e Capa. Ela se inspirou nos jantares sociais que eu frequentei e muito provavelmente no filme Liar Liar, com Jim Carrey. A peça teve uma leitura dramática no Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) mas nunca foi montada.
Agora eu vou publicar a peça em e-book pela Amazon Kindle. Terminei o livro neste sábado, e agora ele vai passar por uma revisão antes de ser colocado à venda. É uma comédia que ocorre durante um jantar que sai do controle dos anfitriões e dos convidados. Depois da revisão vou dar os toques finais. E logo você será convidado.
The Root of Truth will be served
The Root of Truth was the third play I wrote in a row since 2004, after Break and Cover. It was inspired by the social dinners I attended and most likely by the film Liar Liar, with Jim Carrey. The play had a dramatic reading at the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP) but was never staged.
Now I'm going to publish the play as an e-book through Amazon Kindle. I finished the book this Saturday, and now it will undergo revision before being put on sale. It's a comedy that takes place during a dinner party that gets out of control of the hosts and guests. After the revision, I'll put the final changes on it. And soon you'll be invited.
