Virei-me. O dono da voz era nada menos que Tom Cruise. Ele perguntava se eu não era o cara que estava dando a primeira volta ao mundo num Simulador de voo.
Os outros dois hóspedes eram o cineasta Cameron Crowe e a atriz Penelope Cruz. Depois eu soube que os três haviam alugado um dos quartos do Chateau Marmont para acertar os detalhes da filmagem de Vanilla Sky.
Crowe e Cruz apenas me cumprimentaram respeitosamente. Mas Cruise revelou ser um fã da minha aventura pelo mundo virtual. Eu me senti obviamente envaidecido, e foi então que ele me fez prometer que, se um dia vendesse os direitos de filmagem das lembranças de minha viagem para o cinema, que falasse com ele antes".

Meeting Mister Cruise
"I headed toward my room and in the hallway, already half asleep, I didn't pay attention when three guests passed me. That's when I heard a very familiar voice behind me. 'Excuse me...' I turned around. The owner of the voice was none other than Tom Cruise. He was asking if I wasn't the guy who was taking the first trip around the world in a flight simulator.
The other two guests were filmmaker Cameron Crowe and actress Penelope Cruz. Later I learned that the three of them had rented one of the rooms at the Chateau Marmont to work out the details of the filming of Vanilla Sky.
Crowe and Cruz only greeted me respectfully. But Cruise revealed that he was a fan of my adventure in the virtual world. I felt obviously flattered, and it was then that he made me promise that if I ever sold the film rights to the memories of my trip for the cinema, I would talk to him first".
